10 best things of living with parents

1. Pay no bills. (incl. mobile phone top-ups, landline calls, hot water, using private car, etc). It’s so damn good because they won’t let poor singleton like me split their bills. Moreover, they know better than me about bills and taxes because they have been doing this since 28 years ago.

2. Breakfast is always ready. What is more beautiful than hot rice and fried chicken (atau nasi goreng, nasi megono, telor dadar atau roti) accompanied with sweet jasmine tea every morning? The good news is: I don’t need to prepare them. When I wake up, all is set. Like magic.

3. No need to do the laundry. My mother is the expert. If she has no time, somebody will do that for us. No frills.

4. No worries about groceries.

5. No need to make my own bed.

6. Watch TV series as long as you like, because when you live at your parents’ house, everyday is holiday.

7. Can be brainless. My parents happily remind me of everything. From having lunch to wearing slippers indoor. Or time to go to bed. You just need to make yourself comfortable.

8. Have a family without responsibility of parenthood. Of course, because I’m the child!

9. Always have some helping hands. My father’s employees also work for me. So I can pretend to have workers (and ask them for help) and not even have to start from a scratch.

10 Have siesta everyday and have no plan for tomorrow. Just like heaven!
